Stacey Allaster

Stacey Allaster has made vast contributions to the sport of tennis throughout her career, and continues to do so as Tournament Director of the US Open and also as USTA Chief Executive, Professional Tennis.
Her earliest beginnings in the game are thanks to a schools program organized by Dutchy Doerr, legendary tennis director of the Welland Tennis Club in the 1970s-80s-90s. Stacey was invited to the club’s junior program, along with other students who demonstrated positive qualities. With Dutchy’s encouragement and mentorship, Stacey began to develop both her tennis game and her leadership skills. The rest – as they say – is history.
This mini-Library is intended to capture stories about Stacey. She’s always been an inspiring role model in SouthWest Region, and will continue to be so for decades to come. On December 11, 2024, the USTA announced Stacey’s succession plan from her current role as Chief Executive of Professional Tennis and US Open Tournament Director. You can read it here ….
