ROOKIE

First level of the structure is the Rogers First Set Tour-Rookie. Matches are organized in a round-robin format with no players being eliminated. Modified balls and modified court sizes are used for U8, U9 and U10 categories.

RISING STAR

Players with Rookie event experience may move on to the Rogers First Set Tour-Rising Stars. These events also use modified balls and court sizes for U9 and U10. A traditional draw format results in event winners, but all players receive at least three matches. Players are awarded points for participation and for match-wins, with a province-wide leaderboard.

Players who opt for the Rising Stars category events are required to pay a $98 per year fee as a registered competitive player.

TRANSITION TOUR

The next stage of competition is called the 2-Star Transition Tour. At this level, all play uses full-speed balls and full-size courts. Draw formats are such that each player is guaranteed two matches.

PROVINCIAL CIRCUIT

Next stage is the 3 Star: Provincial Circuit. Players qualify for these events by virtue of ranking points. Only one match is guaranteed.

PROVINCIAL CIRCUIT PLUS

The 3.5 Star: Provincial Circuit Plus is similar, though a second match (either singles or doubles) is arranged for those who don’t win their first match.

SELECTION

4 Star : Selection events are for the highest ranked players who are aiming for selection to Ontario teams for national or international events.

The ultimate level is 5 Star: Provincial Championships. They’re offered in various age categories twice each year, one indoor and one outdoor. They’re large events over several days with full play-in draws to provide multiple matches for all players.
