Niagara Academy recognized

On May 1st, Tennis Canada announced the 2024 recipients of the High Performance Recognition Program, a strategic initiative designed to reward key areas that contribute to the development of a strong high-performance pipeline in Canada.

Among the 39 clubs from across Canada that met the program’s standards is Niagara Academy of Tennis, located in the Vineland community in Niagara Region. NAT has been a leader in tournament hosting and player development throughout its 25 year history. For 2024, it was recognized with a Gold award in the Hosting Competitions category, for which eight Ontario clubs will share about $114,500.

The other category for clubs is WPDP Training Environment … short form for Whole Player Development Pathway. Five Ontario clubs met the standards in the WPDP category, including two who also won Hosting awards. None are from SouthWest Region this time.
