Bubble Club

The Bubble Club is in Nelson Park (4350 Longmoor Drive) in Burlington. It’s a volunteer-run
non-profit within the City of Burlington parks and recreation system. The club’s season runs
from mid-October to mid-April, during which a dome is inflated over two of the six courts used
by the Appleby Tennis Club during the outdoor season. The club was founded in 1978 and a
small clubhouse was added a few years later. A total of 200 members are accommodated and
the courts enjoy a 90%+ occupancy rate from 6:00am to 11:00pm each day. A new dome
membrane was added in 2024, along with new lighting. There is a lengthy waitlist.
