The Welland Tennis Club is located at 45 Hooker Street, next to the old canal. It’s a volunteer-run non-profit within the City of Welland parks and recreation system. There are eight courts, four of which are red clay. The four hard courts were resurfaced in 2021 and co-hosted the 2022 Canada Games. The large clubhouse includes a spacious outdoor veranda, which is very popular during the numerous tournaments hosted by the club.
The club was honoured at the OTA AGM on April 20 with the 2024 OTA Outstanding Club Achievement Award, in recognition of the dedication and leadership of volunteers at the club.
Welland TC is one of the oldest in SouthWest Region, founded in 1913.
