2026 OTA Annual Meeting
Each year, the member clubs of the Ontario Tennis Association gather at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto for an annual general meeting. All the expected formalities are a central feature, with the big bonus of networking and seeing ourselves as part of a larger picture. This year’s event, on April 11th, was a memorable day for all who took the time to share our love of tennis.
Tennis everywhere is a consequence of local providers. The essence is the same – bringing people together through the game of tennis – but each club and community does it in its own unique way. The OTA – our province-wide tennis governing body – keeps us all connected.
The day includes a breakfast-and-mingling hour, with suppliers to visit with. After the meeting and prize-giving, it’s time for lunch in the space adjacent to the NBO centre court, followed by tennis drills and games in the bubble.
All this is organized and provided by the OTA staff, whose offices are located alongside Tennis Canada’s at the Sobeys Centre. The AGM provides an opportunity for the club volunteers to meet and converse with those who work every day to provide programs and supports for us.
